The Experts Meeting of the InnovaLatino Project organized by INSEAD, the OECD Development Centre and the Inter-American Development Bank sponsored by Fundación Telefónica, was held on 30 September – 1 October 2009 in Buenos Aires. The objective of the meeting was to discuss a preliminary version of the InnovaLatino Report to be published in spring 2010. Argentinean Minister of Science and Technology, Lino Barañao, and the Governor of the Argentinean Central Bank, Martin Redrado delivered the opening speeches. Experts from various international institutions including the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the CEPAL, several academic and regional policy institutions such as BNDES and statistical offices discussed the forthcoming publication. The closing speech was given by Jonathan Eaton.

Workshop on innovation indicators

The Innovation Indicators for Latin America Workshop took place at OECD. The topics covered in the workshop are: Composite Indicators Rationale, Construction & Use, Building an Innovation Index for Latin America and Methodological Issues.
